Sometimes you get more than you pay for. CTX's PV720A 17-inch LCD may be one of those times. At just $629, it's one of the market's lowest priced 17-inch pivot-capable LCDs. And it's a great performer.

After an easy PnP installation, you'll want to spend a few minutes studying the OSD. Up and down arrow buttons let you access standard settings. They also moonlight as contrast and brightness controls. You'll quickly find that volume is accessible only via the OSD. Speaking of volume, the PV720A includes an attachable speaker piece, a nice feature for those with limited space. The pivot feature was all-around easy, with one-click access to orientations and smooth manual rotations. Diagnostic tests revealed little cause for concern, though grayscale reproduction wasn't exactly spectacular.
