You've got to love a monitor that does more than the bare minimum, one that's willing to adapt to your needs and display your various documents, screens, and sites in a way that best suits you. We do. And that's why Samsung's 181T LCD fills the bill as one of our favorite 18-inch LCDs.

The 181T has a slim and slender .7-inch bezel side that I nearly lost when viewing it from the side. Though the plastic stand does seem a bit flimsy, it served nicely and stood its ground as it performed our various tests and withstood our pokes and prods. The OSD was easy to use with one-button access to a full menu of settings, plus direct access to contrast and brightness right from the monitor panel.
